Knock Novena Feast of the Assumption of Mary on August 15th. Annual Roman Catholic pilgrimage in Knock, County Mayo, Ireland celebrating the Virgin Mary and the apparition of her on the gable wall of the Knock Shrine in 1879. This is traditionally heavily attended by members of the Irish travelling community.
